سی ٹی ڈی کے مطابق سری بہلول خٹکو کلی مردان میں پولیس کو مطلوب دہشتگرد مولانا فواد نے گرفتاری سے بچنے کیلئے مسجد کے اوپر منزل میں واقع اپنے کمرے کے ساتھ پولیس اہلکار کو قتل کیا اور نیچے موجود پولیس اہلکاروں پر فائرنگ شروع کردی۔
پولیس کی جوابی فائرنگ سے مولوی فواد بھی مارا گیا۔سی ٹی ڈی کے مطابق مولانا فواد پولیس کو مطلوب تھا۔
